District Financial Support Services



The Finance Department is responsibe for managing and organizing the budget design process as well as monitoring the District's budget on an ongoing basis.  Additional responsibilities of the Finance Department include coordination of the annual audit and preparation of financial reports for the Minnesota Department of Education, School Board, Big Lake taxpayers, and school district personnel.  Designing and monitoring internal controls over all financial aspects of the District is also a major responsibility of the Finance Department.  Finance also provides oversight for the MARSS and student accounting processes and procedures.
