Big Lake Schools is proud to offer alternative programming options for at-risk students who can't reach their full potential in a regular school program or need additional time to develop skills and abilities. Simply put, an at-risk student is someone who is off-track for graduation. See Eligibility Criteria for specifics.
Instruction in alternative programming is designed to meet the needs of individual learning styles, and social/emotional needs. Additionally, classroom sizes are typically smaller than in a regular school setting.

Programming options include:

  • Wright Learning Center - an alternative learning center for middle and high school students
  • Targeted Services - before, after and summer school programs for students in kindergarten through eighth grade
For more information on alternative programming, please contact your child's principal.
