Football is a competitive sport that has limited starting spots available.  Starting spots will be determined by evaluating the athletes during practice/games and making decisions based on what’s best for the team.  Some areas that the athletes will be evaluated in are these.

  • Skill level
  • Size, speed and strength
  • Coachability
  • Work ethic
  • Potential
  • Commitment
  • Complementary skill sets
The Middle School and 9th grade teams will consist of an A and B team.  All players will be placed on one of those two teams with a chance to move up or down throughout the course of the season if needed.
The B Squad team will be made up of 10th and 11th graders.
The Junior Varsity will consist of mostly 11th and 12th graders except if there is a need at a certain position, a younger aged athlete could play.
The Varsity team will consist of any athlete that has been evaluated and is one of the best at his position.

Personnel decisions in a team sport cannot be democratic in nature. Coaches will discuss every player’s performance on a regular basis. When a final decision is made in regards to rank on a depth chart, it is always done with the team’s best interests in mind. If you have a concern, you as a player must come and address the coaches about your situation. This is not a job for your parents.
We encourage anyone interested to come out for football, but if you do, be willing to accept a spot on the team you are placed in.
